20 April 1995 - Commemorative Postage Stamps: 1700th Anniversary of the Town of Split

The designs of three commemorative postage stamps display the recostruction of the Diocletian's Palace by French E. Hebrard, a Pre-Romanesque altar closure slab with a figure of a Croatian King on a throne (late 11th c.), "Split Harbour" by Emanuel Vidovic (1939) and a present view of Split with a bust of Marko Marulic by sculptor Ivan Mestrovic (1924).
